Information we use
We use your email and authentication account to let you sign in, verify your email, and reset your password. We store your votes, Watchlist, My Stash collection and personal color/group edits, product submissions, uploaded photos, photo permission records, and content reports. Technical information, including IP-derived rate-limit identifiers and service logs, helps operate and protect the service.
What other people see
Product listings, approved photos, and aggregate community scores are public. Your email, private Watchlist, My Stash collection and color edits, and individual vote history are not shown on public profiles. Administrators can review account information and submissions to operate and moderate the service.
Service providers and links
Netlify provides hosting, authentication, database, and photo storage. Verification and password-reset messages are handled through our authentication service. Purchase and social links open third-party services with their own privacy policies. Some purchase links may earn us an affiliate commission.
Photos and sharing
Upload only photos you own and agree to license under the photo terms shown when submitting. Approved photos may appear on the site, app, share cards, social media, and Gloss or Toss advertising. We resize and process uploads for display. Downloaded copies shared by others may remain outside our control.
Storage and deletion
Account information and activity are kept while your account is active. Profile → Account settings → Delete my account removes your login, votes, Watchlist, My Stash collection and color edits, submissions, and stored submitted photos. Shared product listings and other members’ activity remain. An irreversible hash of the deleted authentication identifier prevents old sessions from recreating the account. Service backups and cached copies may remain temporarily under the hosting provider’s retention policies.
Your choices
You can change saved votes, remove Watchlist items, add or remove stash items, reset personal colors and groups, and choose whether to submit a photo. Sign-in cookies maintain your session. For access, correction, privacy questions, or help, email glossortossapp@gmail.com.
